The plantation sector is a strategic sector in reducing poverty. In Kabupaten Aceh Tengah coffee is one of the plantation commodities that has the potential to increase the rate of the regional economy and coffee in Kabupaten Aceh Tengah has a distinctive aroma so that it has a high price. However, in Aceh Tengah there are still people who are classified as poor. So it is necessary to analyze the impact of the profession of coffee farmers in reducing poverty in farming communities in Kabupaten Aceh Tengah. The purpose of this study was to see how the impact of the coffee farmer profession in reducing poverty on farming communities in Kabupaten Aceh Tengah. This study uses a probit regression analysis method to see the characteristics of coffee farmers with non-coffee farmers that are significantly different and uses a Propensity score matching (PMS) analysis to see the impact of the coffee farmer profession in reducing poverty in coffee farming communities in Kabupaten Aceh Tengah. The results of this study are that in 2019 the characteristics that differed significantly between coffee farmers and non-coffee farmers (rice and secondary crops farmers, horticultural farmers, and forestry) in Kabupaten Aceh Tengah, namely age, education, access to food, eating a little food and assets of owning a bicycle. motorcycle. Then the impact of the profession of coffee farmers in reducing the level of poverty in Aceh Tengah Regency is that it is seen that the results obtained by coffee farmers have differences in the difference in total assets (fridge / refrigerator, air conditioner, home phone, computer / laptop, motorbike, car, television screen 30 inc) more than non coffee farmers.
